Prayer is simply a two-way conversation between you and God. Billy Graham

Psalm 28 (NIV)

Of David.

To you, Lord, I call;
you are my Rock,
    do not turn a deaf ear to me.
For if you remain silent,
I will be like those who go down to the pit.
Hear my cry for mercy
as I call to you for help,
as I lift up my hands
toward your Most Holy Place………….

Prayer is such an important part in maintaining and building our relationship with God. Although I absolutely agree with the quote on prayer by Billy Graham, I sometimes find it difficult, for me personally, to engage in two-way conversation with my Creator. I sometimes struggle with the right attitude, the right words, and most important of all, the right heart.

It is on these occasions I have a great appreciation for the Psalms, particularly the Psalms of David. I admire and would very much like to have more of King David’s heart.

When I do struggle with my one on one conversation with my Father in heaven, I am so grateful for the Psalms, for so many of them can be used as a prayer. A great example would be Psalm 28.

The Psalmist heart becomes my heart.

Thank you LORD, for your understanding, and acceptance of who I am.
