Rest in Him

Published December 27, 2012

The old year is just about to end, never to be recaptured. You look back at goals set but not achieved. Resolutions were made and quickly abandoned or forgotten. Spirits may have been crushed and hearts broken.  Many may be exhausted, tired, and worn out with disappointment, frustration, and even depression. This is natural and to be expected.

May I suggest you begin the New Year by doing what may not seem be natural or expected? Turn the disappointment, frustration, and depression over to Him! Place it under His care. Rest in Him. Let His grace refresh and renew your strength.

He wants you too!

He invites you too!

Matthew 11:28-30

New Century Version (NCV)

28 “Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest. 29 Accept my teachings and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit, and you will find rest for your lives. 30 The burden that I ask you to accept is easy; the load I give you to carry is light.”

The New Year is fast approaching, full of promise and opportunities to do better than last year. Accept His rest. Discover His teachings and learn from them. You will find His burden easy and your load to carry will be light.

In my next blog I will suggest some resources and helps to achieve a greater New Year, year after year!

Rest in Him!
